The Vatican website, as you no doubt know if you are a frequent user, isn't frequently updated, the CCC doesn't contain any news, and dioceses / parishes typically don't respond to news either. If you only like sources that are immediately tied to Vatican or a parish, you might find L'Ossevatore Romano (the Vatican Newspaper) or Radio Vatican (the Vatican Radio Station) to be better suited to news than the CCC.
